Legal assistant – immigration needed in Canada by GoldenGate Lawyers
A legal assistant (immigration) provides administrative and legal support to immigration lawyers or consultants by preparing documents, managing case files, communicating with clients, and assisting with immigration applications and procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize immigration applications, forms, and supporting documents.
- Maintain client files and case records.
- Communicate with clients to collect required information and documents.
- Schedule appointments and manage legal calendars.
- Monitor application deadlines and case progress.
- Conduct basic legal and factual research under the supervision of a lawyer or consultant.
- Prepare correspondence and assist with filing documents with immigration authorities.
- Ensure client information is handled confidentially and accurately.
