Journeyman/woman plumber needed in Canada by Kardash Plumbing & Heating
A journeyman/journeywoman plumber is a qualified plumber who installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They work independently and ensure all plumbing work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, and plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing specifications.
- Install and repair pipes, fixtures, valves, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain service records and communicate with customers or contractors.

Responsibilities
Tasks
- Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
