What You Will Do

As a Data Labeling and Annotation Worker on Remotasks, your job is to complete structured tasks that help AI systems learn to understand the world. Common tasks include drawing boxes around objects in images to help self-driving car AI identify roads and pedestrians, labeling text to help AI understand language and context, categorizing and tagging data for machine learning models, transcribing short audio clips into written text, and comparing AI responses to judge which is more accurate or helpful. Tasks are broken into small, manageable units so you can work at your own pace without feeling overwhelmed. You choose when you work and for how long, with no fixed schedule or minimum hours required.

Requirements

No prior professional experience is needed. Before accessing paid tasks, you must complete free training courses on the Remotasks Academy, which are short video lessons that teach you exactly how to complete each task type correctly. You need a computer or laptop, a stable internet connection, basic English reading ability, and patience with detailed instructions. A smartphone alone is not sufficient for most tasks. Some advanced projects may require stronger technical skills, but the majority of entry-level tasks are designed for complete beginners.

Salary and Pay

Remotasks pays between $5 and $15 per hour for standard tasks, with more complex and specialized annotation tasks paying higher rates. Your earnings depend heavily on your speed, accuracy, and the types of tasks available in your region at any given time. Payment is made weekly via Payoneer, which is fully accessible in Nigeria. You must reach a minimum balance before requesting a payout, and funds typically arrive within one to three business days of requesting a transfer to your Payoneer account or linked bank.
