Roofer Helper Job Description

A Roofer Helper assists roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and industrial roofing systems. They prepare job sites, transport roofing materials, set up ladders and equipment, and support skilled roofers with tasks such as removing old roofing materials, installing shingles, metal panels, waterproof membranes, and insulation. Roofer Helpers also clean work areas, dispose of debris, and ensure tools and materials are readily available throughout the project. They follow safety procedures, use protective equipment, and help ensure roofing projects are completed efficiently and to quality standards. Roofer Helpers typically work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist roofers with installing and repairing roofing systems.
• Load, unload, and transport roofing materials and equipment.
• Remove old roofing materials and clean work areas.
• Set up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
