Window Washer (With Some Duties as a Building Exterior Cleaner) Job Description
A Window Washer (with some duties as a Building Exterior Cleaner) is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the exterior appearance of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They clean interior and exterior windows using specialized tools, cleaning solutions, water-fed poles, ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts to ensure streak-free and spotless glass surfaces. In addition to window cleaning, they perform exterior building cleaning tasks such as washing walls, facades, awnings, gutters, signs, and other exterior surfaces to remove dirt, stains, mold, and debris. They inspect building exteriors for damage, report maintenance issues, maintain cleaning equipment, and follow strict workplace health and safety procedures, especially when working at heights. Their role helps preserve the appearance, cleanliness, and value of buildings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Clean interior and exterior windows using professional cleaning equipment.
- Wash building exteriors, walls, facades, awnings, and other surfaces.
- Remove dirt, stains, mold, and debris from exterior structures.
- Operate ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other access equipment safely.
- Inspect building exteriors and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and fall protection regulations.
Important Skills:
